Exhibition in Copenhagen
My photos from Portsmouth are part of CRW - Contemporary Reflections on War - an exhibition at The Art Academy in Copenhagen.
The International Residency programme is generously funded though Arts Council England and Art Space Portsmouth. Our project partners are aspex and the University of Portsmouth.
Art Space Portsmouth was originally founded in 1980 by a small group of graduates and lecturers from Portsmouth Polytechnic, it is now a thriving group of 45 professional artists of which 31 have studios in our converted Chapel in Brougham Road. The management of the building and our activities are overseen by a board of trustees and a part time studio-coordinator with the membership taking an active role in initiating and managing Art Space projects.
The three-month Art Space Portsmouth International Artist's Residency is in its third year and is aimed at emerging fine artists with some experience of professional practice who may have had limited exposure in the UK and whose work is engaged with contemporary debate within the international art world.
